Hi All,
     I just finished watching the Rally - here's a short description for those of you who couldn't do so. 

Going by the camera shots, it didn't appear to be a big crowd - But the speakers were great!  

Carol was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!    She spoke of how Hitler started - and gave it with such passion!!  

Darrell was Great!!  At one point he said: " I am sick and tired of watching Congress and hearing them say 'I yield to the gentleman on the other side of the aisle' they are NOT gentleman, they are scumbags and they should have died when they were born!!!!!!   Seems that was an exact take on Barr calling Clinton a scumbag and I'm not sure who had said he should have died at birth!!  LOL  Then he went into a litany of: "If Pat Robinson is a Christian - I am a white man", "If Jerry Falwell is a Christian - I am a white man."  Then he stated that the media was owned and operated by the far right religious groups and stated "You are losing money, because we are NOT going to buy your papers or watch your programs - Falwell can only buy one paper, but We The People can buy millions, and we won't, so you better start telling us the truth."  

Elaine Van Dir Lin (an Artist) - Told the extremists in Congress "If you want another Northern Ireland on your hands, keep going - because we are not going to let you (destroy our country and our rights). I put that portion in parenthesis because I couldn't remember the exact words but that was the gist of the message.

Gary ?? (can't remember his last name) - Who's running against Gingrich in Georgia spoke well and said "Democracy is not a spctator sport. We all have to vote"

Bob Weiner - A White House employee of the "Office of Natl. Drug Control Policy" - Chief of Press Relations - told of the horrors he and his wife went through due to being supponeaed by Starr because of a gathering they had in their house and speaking out against Starr's tactics - apparently one guest turned republican "ratted" on them and Starr even supponeaed their phone records!!!  But Bell Atlantic would not give them - they said they only give records secretly requested if it involves drugs or murder investigatigations!  

Sue Wilson was the first speaker and she was very good - but I can't remember what she said...and I didn't have my pen and paper with me at that early point to jot notes as I later did...:( 

Jane Prettyman, The editor of "The Real News Pages" on the net, spoke about the biased media. She was very good! She named a book titled "Fools For Scandal" and said everyone should read it. She said that far from hurting Clinton, the press has caused a near inssurection by the American People! She said they are at the very least propagating this "Attempted Impeachment Coup De Tat" that's going on.  She also stated that the press constantly points to their "Freedom of the Press" guarantee given by the Constitution - and said that they have that Freedom for We The People's protection and our right to know what is going on - it was not given to them to voice their opinions and pollute the nation with their views. She also said that  Freedom was given to them to expose a Tyranical Government so We The People could be on our guard against such a government...but the media has NOT exposed Starr who IS part of a Tyranical government plot!  She also stated that there are fewer then 10 corporations who control all the media and it is time for a "Media Reform" bill to be passed, because the media has a big effect on Our Democracy. She said we need to break up the media monopoly and need to roll back the Telecommunications Act, and restore the "Fairness Doctrine", to keep ourselves free. And so that Never Again Will We The People be subjected to what we have been subjected to this last year, Never Again Will We Be Used!!  

Barbara Marlowe - Of New York from the "Committee For Peoples Choice" spoke about a Press Conference they are holding on the steps of Ken Starr's Office (1001 Pennsylvania Ave.) - with Revernd Barfield on October 31st at 9AM - from there they are having a prayer meeting and then a march from the Capitol Steps to the Elipse!!    

They ended the Rally with Janice Chancellor singing "Battle Hymn of the Republic"!!   

I taped it - so at some point I'll watch it again and be able to jot down more...and include those people I've forgotten to mention here. But it was very good..and ended emotionally.   Darrell and all who helped him should be very very proud of themselves.:)))
